Such beautiful photos, they took me right back to our holiday in Italy last year - we were at Lake Garda and visited Verona. Italy is one such beautiful country 💕
I’m curious, when were you diagnosed with Lipoedema?
I only found out about mine 7 years ago and find it so hard to lose weight from my legs - if you have any tips on nutrition that can help, I’d love to know 🫶🏻
Italy really is something special. Your photos brought me straight back to when I was there a few years ago, staying by Lake Garda and visiting Sirmione. Such a beautiful place.
I was diagnosed with lipedema in 2012, so it’s been 14 years now. It can feel incredibly frustrating, especially when the legs don’t respond the way you expect.
What has helped me most is shifting focus towards nutrient-dense foods, while also becoming very aware of energy density. A lot of foods we consider “healthy” can still be very calorie-dense, and that matters more than many people think. Even though lipedema fat behaves differently, our bodies still carry both lipedema fat and regular fat, so overall energy balance still plays a role.
Even though I’ve had a basic understanding of this before regarding the food choices, the way you’re explaining it seems to be making much more sense in my mind - thank you for taking the time to share what you’ve learned, I’m very grateful ☺️
