This Community Is Growing — And It’s Truly Global
From a small initiative to readers across 44 countries — united by the search for real knowledge about lipedema.
Over the past months, something quite remarkable has been happening..
LipedemaScience is no longer just a small corner of the internet. It is becoming a global community of people who want to understand, question, and learn what the research actually says about lipedema.
In the last 24 hours alone, 29 new subscribers joined.
Most of them found their way here through Facebook, often through shared posts and discussions in communities where people are actively searching for answers.
That tells me something important:
This is not passive growth. This is people finding this space because they need it.
Where You Are Reading From
I recently looked at the data behind this community, and the reach is wider than I expected.
Right now, LipedemaScience has readers from 44 different countries.
That includes readers across:
Europe
North America
Asia
Africa
Oceania
This means that people from completely different healthcare systems, cultures, and backgrounds are all gathering around the same questions:
What is actually happening in the body?
Why is lipedema so poorly understood?
What does the research really show?
Top 5 Countries
While the community is global, a few countries stand out:
United States
Norway
United Kingdom
Australia
Canada
The United States is clearly the largest group, but what I find just as interesting is how strong the presence is from Norway and the UK, alongside other English-speaking countries.
Why This Matters
Lipedema is still under-researched, often misunderstood, and many people feel alone in trying to make sense of it.
What we are building here is something different:
A space grounded in science, not quick fixes
A place for understanding, not oversimplification
A community that spans countries, but shares the same experience
And maybe most importantly:
You are not the only one asking these questions.
Thank You
If you are reading this, you are part of this.
Whether you have been here from the beginning or just joined, you are contributing to something that is growing far beyond what I initially imagined.
And if you ever share an article, send it to someone, or engage in a discussion — that is exactly how this community grows.
If you want to help this reach even more people who are searching for answers, you can always share an article or recommend LipedemaScience to someone who might need it. It truly makes a difference.
Here are a few more articles I think you’ll find interesting, if you haven’t already seen them..
