Reflections for Women on the Lipedema Journey
As 2025 comes to an end, take a moment to look back with gratitude – and forward with renewed hope and curiosity.
Thank You, 2025
As the year draws to a close, this final day invites us to pause. To breathe. To reflect on what has been – and to acknowledge everything we’ve accomplished, even the quiet, unnoticed victories.
For many living with lipedema, 2025 has been a year of both progress and challenge. Days when the body felt heavy and the mind tired, but also moments of clarity, insight, and strength.
Now is the time to recognize that effort. Change often happens quietly — and you may have grown more than you realize.
What Will You Carry Forward?
Before stepping into a new year, take a few minutes to reflect on what truly mattered in 2025:
What went well this year?
Perhaps you found a routine that helps your body feel calmer. Perhaps you learned more about nutrition, set clearer boundaries, or gave yourself permission to rest. What worked for you — and deserves to continue into 2026?What did you learn from the difficult days?
Think about the moments that tested you. What did you do well in those situations? Even when things felt heavy, there were likely flashes of resilience — small choices that showed patience, courage, or self-respect.Who made a difference in your life?
Reflect on the people who stood by you this year — someone who listened without judgment, offered support, or simply understood. Perhaps you also found connection in the wider community of women with lipedema — people who know what it’s like to live in a body that demands care and understanding. What did you do for others?
Sometimes, the smallest gestures matter most. A kind message. A shared resource. A word of encouragement. Think of the people whose load you helped lighten this year — and how you might continue to bring kindness into 2026.
The Lipedema Journey – Where Are You Now?
Lipedema is not just a diagnosis; it’s a lifelong learning process. Maybe this year helped you understand more about what your body needs — and what it’s asking of you when it feels tired or sore.
Take a moment to ask yourself:
How do I experience my body now compared to a year ago?
What does self-care mean to me today?
What have I discovered that truly helps — and what am I ready to let go of?
This isn’t about judgment or evaluation. It’s simply about awareness — a starting point for continued growth.
Looking Ahead
Imagine it’s New Year’s Eve one year from now — December 31, 2026.
How do you want to feel then — physically, mentally, emotionally?
What do you want to have learned about yourself and about lipedema?
What kind of routines, stability, and confidence do you want to have built?
This isn’t a resolution. It’s an intention — a gentle direction forward. A commitment to keep learning, growing, and acting from a place of understanding and self-respect.
Wishing you a Happy New Year!
Carry the lessons of 2025 with you — and step into 2026 with a calm, wise, and compassionate view of yourself and the body you live in.
